Eli Broad knows homebuilding and insurance. The Waltons know low-cost, high-volume retailing. Yet they seem to think it's a great idea for education leadership to be as UNfamiliar as possible with what actually going on in schools, and to disdain the views and information from those who work in schools -- the more experience, the more contempt.
