I am a product ...I have children in public schools. I am a product of a big city public school. Stop attacking options, such as charter schools, because the alternative is the same old crappy public school systems. Teachers Unions have destroyed public education. I would love to see a blog revealing the ugly truth about teacher's unions. Public school teachers are unmotivated, lazy and have a sense of entitlement. I'm glad charter schools are putting a fire under their behinds. I would take a new-to-teaching charter school teacher over a 20 years experience-in public school teacher in a heartbeat. My daughter's school is supposed to have the gems in public school teaching and oh my God--they are awful--Old, close-minded, lack of sophistication teachers. We need to shake up education in this country and having options is key. Let's be fair. I find it highly suspicious that this blogger/communist ignores the disaster that is public education. Wise up people. There is an unethical agenda within this perimeterprimate blog. Both were/are newcomers to teaching -- midlife career-changers. That snapshot of reality conflicts with the hype, though it jibes with this study.

The one who now teaches in a public school spent her first year at a charter before finding a job she preferred.carolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08127336930949752636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3359348507190689090.post-20409537318314865012010-07-12T10:51:28.326-07:002010-07-12T10:51:28.326-07:00I think the title of the post is probably one of t...I think the title of the post is probably one of the primary objectives of private charters----To have as few experienced teachers as possible in the charters, in order to keep faculties under control and submissive--No Unions, no messy demands for better conditions & pay, etc etc

Lat's face it:

Submissive teachers mean
lower costs & less dissent.

Surprise surprise!
It's all about money.niktohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13219069038917729013noreply@blogger.com
